Introduced only through description to a Mr. Kurtz. Kurtz is the top dog at the station and is revered by his staff. I’m confused as to what Marlow thinks of Kurtz.

I’m deathly bored. Absolutely nothing is actually happening, just descriptors of people around him, of whom I do not have a single care.

Marlow arrived at his station. He sees a bunch of black people being forced to do labor, blowing up the cliffside they’re on. He comments numerous times on the horrid condition of the land around him.
