Status Updates From The Last Namsara (Iskari, #1)

I am getting really confused with the multiple Iskari, is Asha a descendant or the original or a reincarnation and was it her or her mother who spoke the stories and caused destruction? I feel like I need to be taking notes to keep myself right on who is who.

Chapter 8 is so painful. I don't want to DNR it here because then the story will bug me. Its obvious the MC will 'learn her lesson' but still, she's becoming irredeemable right now. I do not know why this book is so highly rated.

But....but where is the gut wrenching betrayal that I have to stare at a wall at for 3 days to cope with?!?!! Lovely end, they fly off into the sunset. I still hate mates, even if you give them a cute hiccup name. I think it's two easy that BOTH big bads died....way to clean...it's also giving Moses in the desert with the burning bush.

I'm terrified. We're about to be betrayed by Torwin. Either he is the worst person ever and he's been a spy for Jerk the whole time (unlikely, but sometimes authors suck) OR it's a Megara Hercules thing and he doesn't want to, but a lifetime of bad choices have led to this (more likely and deeply sad) OR were about to get his secret identity reveal and he's actually a prince or something to the Skrall people....
