Fireheart is thrilled to be in Tigerclaw’s first battle party, but Cloudkit’s group follows them, forcing Brackenpaw to escort the kits home. As they reach the cliff, the snow masks the scene, but Fireheart locates the camp just as the sounds of a brutal battle erupt below.

Cloudkit convinced the other kits to sneak away to hunt, but Fireheart saves the kits before they freeze to death. Bluestar warns him to get Cloudkit to follow warrior code, yet a bigger threat looms: Spottedleaf’s ghost warned Fireheart, “A battle is coming…Beware a warrior you cannot trust.” Tigerclaw is the obvious villain, but could it possibly be Graystripe?… I hope not…
