Status Updates From It Takes a Church to Baptize

I remember the first time I heard the Anglican baptism liturgy. It was so striking, so powerful, and so beautiful. And I wish more denominations would use it.

“[This book] is for those who are considering infant baptism in the Anglican communion, though it will be of use to any who are considering infant baptism.”

Trying to decide where I land on what baptism accomplishes. The Reformed view is that God has objectively revealed himself in Word and sacrament, so is it a stretch to say that, like the parable of the sower and soils, baptism could deposit the seed of the gospel? And it would need to grow into faith and produce good fruit through the Holy Spirit?
