You know if I thought I was losing it and woke up to see a sleep demon thing prodding me, I'd tell myself everything was ok and go back to sleep too

Very different writing from what I'm used to reading but I do like it. It feels lost and lonely but not entirely sad

Why did the author feel the need to write an entire paragraph about a man asking a waiter if his dog could come inside the restaurant??

Chapter Two has just affirmed to me that this author has not concept of imagery. Basic sentence structures coupled with messily written conjunctions, again is making this novel hard to follow.
