The first chapter is about the TRC in Canada, and gives a broad overview of the main benefits and critiques of the testimonial-giving process. It points out that there is still progress to be done, and that the act of continuing the archival process can be a practice of reconciliation itself by giving more agency, power, and voice to Indigenous communities to manage the archives.

I read the introduction only and I loved it, it spoke to me so well, and I want to read more.
