7th story went too fast but liked the art a lot. 8th story made reading this whole anthology worth it 5☆ perfect (I just love apocalyptic stories). story 9 was meh but mostly because science fiction and anthropomorphic animals rarely work for me. 10th story was lovely! and a present surprise bc I didn't know trung le nguyen had work in here :)

story 2 was cute, story 3 was. weird. i don't get it. art was rad tho. story 4 was ok, i liked the art mostly. it's also the coverart for the whole anthology and the reason I picked it up. tbh wish it was longer. story 5 was cute again. 6th story was too shooort

Uneven, but I like that it includes a variety of queer rep like ace and poly as well as MM and FF pairings, and includes paranormal and sci-fi elements in some stories. With the variety I imagine no one would find all of it their cup of tea, but I’ve enjoyed several quite a bit and plan to look into those creators more.

The only illustrated story that made a bit of sense was the one by Trung Le Nguyen. Beautiful art nouveau style art, capturing fairy tales of a certain era, say 1890s-1920? The rest of the stories were bleh or unsatisfying. And the text-only stories were jarring. It doesn’t work to have a mix of sequential art narratives and prose-only ones. I’m either in the mood for one or the other, not both in the same book.
