Status Updates From The Tomb

They encounter people from two of the other ships, and apparently life on those ships is nothing like what their lives have been on their ship. Their lives are endangered by people who believe that only the original or "True" passengers that were on the original Manifest of passengers, should be allowed to live. Kiva is not a TRUE, but her father is. Her mother was in the right place at the right time, to be saved.

Kiva and Seth have been sent on a mission to get a major replacement part for the large space craft, Krakatoa, that everyone is on. They have been traveling away from Earth, to Mars, to a space station, that wasn't ready, when 4 duplicate spacecrafts had to leave Earth because of an asteroid that hits the Earth, unexpectedly. As Kiva learns more about the ship and Seth, they hit their first snag in the trip.

Wow! An unexpected turn of events - Kiva enters the Tomb where Seth's body is- then she dematerializes. When kiva wakes up, she isn't sure where she is - the afterlife or somewhere else. Things look familiar that shouldn't. She finds Seth - both of them look different - not like Egyptians. Seth finally explains what has been going on for many years! They've been on a spacecraft, in sleep chambers, for years.

Kiva's whole world was not reality. Her best friend Seth, who is a prince in Alexandria, is suddenly absent from her life and she doesn't know why. The setting- ancient Egypt. An earthquake happens and suddenly Seth is dead. Kiva is heartbroken, then she finds out she is to accompany him to the Afterlife! She is scared and horrified that her mother is allowing this.
