What I learned from Google while reading this book: it is, in fact, legal to photocopy money in the US as long as it's a) one-sided; b) either smaller than 3/4 the real size OR larger than 1.5 times the real size; and c) data is erased from the copier / computer & printer afterwards. Not sure about UK rules.

*grins* I remember being a kid and getting excited that I got to go on escalators, too. Kind of a shame that today's kids won't ever get excited about little things like that. I guess every generation says that.

I was thinking recently about most absurd BSC plots. It's hard to beat "sitters are literally stranded on an island with kids they are sitting for," but I think, "sitters and kids track down actual currency counterfeiters" comes pretty close.
