Book 1 finished; on to Book 2. The writing is great but I really wish this section didn't feature the girl-in-pants trope. A tomboy wearing breeches is one thing; successfully disguising yourself as a boy in the middle of an army (or pirate ship, or plantation, or whatever) is another.
