Today I learned that the saying "break a leg" is not in reference to actually breaking a leg. It's actualy a reference to the handle used to close and open stage curtains, "break a leg" is thought to be said becuase if a performance was particularly good then the curtains would be opened and closed multiple times- due to encores, potentially putting the handle at risk of breaking.
So it would be good if a leg broke.
