Notes:
(1) The last two issues are a bit of a letdown. Still better than most everything before this run, but I had hoped things would end on sounder footing.
- The shift to a more cutesy art style really deflates what gravitas it built.
(2) This ends with the first part of Tieri's "Old Lady Harley" miniseries, and so I'll save my thoughts about it until I get to that book.

Notes:
(1) Tieri's somehow found a way to iron out the kinks (pardon the pun) of the Conner/Palmiotti run while still keeping the spirit of it.
- For example, there's a running gag about Harley's hero-for-hire business being mistaken for an escort service. That's the extent of it. Conner and Palmiotti would have been more in-your-face, with a visual gag or cheesy one-liner.

Notes:
(1) What this Tieri run reminds me the most of is the 2019 "Harley Quinn" cartoon.
- Not just in tone and storytelling, but also its appropriation of the Batman rogues gallery, particularly the most ridiculous/deep-pull villains from various media iterations.
- It wouldn't surprise me if this, more than the Conner/Palmiotti run, was the direct template for that show.

Notes:
(1) Okay, color me impressed. This is the best the series has been post-Rebirth.
- Humor's more situational than silly, the tone's more measured and real-world, and it doesn't waste time with tedious dialogue.
(2) Tieri makes "The Silence of the Lambs" and Tone Loc references.
- I'm not saying they're dated, but his cultural reference point seems decidedly early-90s.

Notes:
(1) Frank Tieri takes over the series here, which I'm cautiously optimistic and open-minded about.
- He's always seemed to me a solid if unimpressive fill-in writer and a safe pair of hands to dump a series with until editorial figures out what direction to go next.
- He similarly closed out the dumpster fire New 52 "Catwoman" series in solid if unimpressive fashion.
