It’s a book that I can’t put down and I don’t know why. I think it’s the pacing - things keep moving, there’s no lull, and I keep reading because I know something else is a bout to happen. I don’t understand why everyone seems obsessed with Baru. She can’t be trusted, they all know that, and she’s already betrayed, or is currently betraying, everyone and they all want to serve her.

The way Dickinson is able to capture negative emotions in a way that renders the reader sympathetic is incredible. This and Tau-Indi's chapters.
