This entire family discusses top-secret spy/courier information with about as much discretion as someone buying a hog. Loud, boisterous--something for the heroine to cut her teeth on, with no experience IN spying, or whoring either, for that matter. It's played out as though they're letting the heroine have her FUN and it's her turn to take the wheel and drive up the driveway since she can now reach the pedals. FML.
