I am very sad that this book has come to an end. The ending was very depressing but also very happy at the same time. This book has been one of my favorite books that I have read in awhile and I can’t wait to read more books by Eliot Schrefer.

This book is so great, and I can’t wait to see what happens at the end. It is crazy to see that this girl has left her tribe to do what she thinks is right. Rather then hurt the animals she decides to take care of them. I am nearing the end and I can’t wait to how this reunited squad will fare against the humans.

This book is great and I can’t believe that it is coming to an end. Once again the humans attack the gorillas, but this time it’s bad. Although the altercation is ugly they manage to make it out. Finally the gorillas have found another squad of gorillas and I can’t wait to see how they contribute to the plot.

Throughout the book all the characters have grown a ton. One character specifically was only just born as the book began. Breath has developed a lot as a character and he is finally becoming more independent. It is important that Breath becomes more independent because he has to fend for his own if the humans arrive. I hope to see Breath become an adult by the end of the book.

This book has been so eventful and I really enjoy reading it. The book has taken a ton of unexpected turns. One moment the gorillas are being attacked by humans and the next they are living with them. I don't know what to expect but I can't wait to find out.

Once again the gorilla family had a fight with the humans, and once again there was a casualty. I can't believe all the choices Snub has had to make so far in the book, and now she is left to care for a baby. It is a real shame what the humans are doing to these gorillas.

Just when I thought everything was getting better a group of not-gorillas appeared while the family was traveling. These not-gorillas, which I can only assume to be humans are trying to hurt the gorillas. After a long fight with the human's dogs the gorillas were able to make it out, but not without a casualty. I'm starting to feel sorry for Snub and I'm worried to see what these humans are going to do to her family.

This book has been so eventful and I don't know what could possibly happen next. I was worried that Snub was going to have to care for her infant brother all by herself, but that is not the case. Now that the family has finally reunited for the most part, they can live out this disaster together. I wonder what challenge the troop will face next.

I am only 60 pages into the book and I feel like I have already learned so much about the gorillas. I have learned that being a gorilla is not easy especially whenever there is a volcano in your jungle. If I was snubs age in these circumstance I wouldn't be able to do what she does. I can't wait to keep learning about gorillas and see how the characters develop.

When I first started reading the book it was a little slow but that changed very quickly when a volcano erupted near the gorilla's home. The book is very descriptive and you can tell that the author went to great lengths to learn about the gorilla. I can't wait to find out what happens to snub's family now that the volcano near their home has erupted.
