Read all of Before Sunset in one sitting. I just love it. What a masterclass in dialogue.
My favourite re-discovery was how Jesse reacts to the rose peddler, and then how he catches himself after interacting the homeless poet, giving him a small arc and fulfilling the “You’ll be all right. He’s learning” prophecy.
The best scene: them pretending to call their friends back home. No questions asked.
