Status Updates From Sir Gawain and the Green Kn...

There were a few parts which I found a bit confusing or was slightly lost at, but mostly I was able to keep up with the story. Overall, it was a pretty meh kind of read - nice that it was so short, not really my kind of plot but there were some good parts in there. The secondary reading I did for this was also quite interesting.

I quite enjoyed seeing him travel and then finding the castle, although didn't quite understand the deal he had with the Bertilak. I was also quite shocked when in the end the green knight ended up being Bertilak. It was interesting how the real test he had faced was with the woman who was trying to seduce him rather than when he was struggling through the wild or against the green knight.

This was once again another read for my uni degree. It was a very quick read and there were some parts which I quite enjoyed. There was a particularly beautiful description of the seasons changing at the beginning. Similarly to Beowulf, I wasn't particularly interested by the whole knights in a court setting as that is not really my kind of thing. I definitely preferred Gawain to Beowulf though.
