There aren't any chapters in this book, but it is told in vignettes. And man, Huisman really knows how to land a last line. There have been several already that have made me pause and reread them.

I wasn't expecting mermaid allusions in this book, and yet...

Perhaps I'm just seeing them everywhere these days?

I'm not entirely sure what I'm getting into here, but the voice has already drawn me in.
