Status Updates From Highland Mist (Druids Glen #1)

When Gregor was trying to leave the clan for good (without saying goodbye) it seems Moira caught him. She gave him a job to fetch her and Glenna’s sister - Fiona - and bring her to them. He agrees “for the coin” and not because he likes them guys

Glenna and Conall get married

Chap 25
Conall almost dies but gets off with a bad cut on his back. MacNeil shoots Glenna with the crossbow and Moira hurries her to the circle to heal her. Conall finally lets the Druids into his heart, getting his powers back and setting forth the prophecy. Glenna and him are gonna marry now. Gregor I think has decided to be a loyal friend to Conall

Glenna and Moira put out the fire and then she sets a fire around MacNeils men. Many of the mercenaries flee in fear of knowing they’re fighting against Druids, so Conall and his men attack. Conall promises he will kill MacNeil

MacNeil comes with his men and reveals that he killed Iona. However, Glenna managed to convince him to give Ailsa back as well as Effie. For some reason, the baily is on fire and instead of putting it out, she sets the barn on fire with it and asks Moira to “move the fire”

Conall wasn’t actually planning to trade her, he just said so so she would leave with Moira and be safe with the Druids, and it worked. Glenna went to see him at night and when going through the cave, the Shadow almost killed her, but Dartayous knew the Shadow was there. Angus knows that Conall is making a mistake with shutting the Druids out, and Conall feels he is not fit to run the clan anymore

Conall keeps pushing Glenn’s away and even decided he was actually gonna trade her for Ailsa and Iona. He’s refusing to change and to really even listen to her. Dartayous isn’t the Shadow. He is a loyal warrior and protector of Moira and as they were all walking in the woods, he senses the Shadow behind him and almost kills him. He warns the Shadow to fuck off

Chap 20
Conall can’t get his power back unless he grows up and stops hating the Druids. The only reason he has lost them now is because being with Glenna has made him truly hate the Druids. They’re preparing for the MacNeil attack and Conall is refusing to ask the Druids for help, tho he’ll need it. I have a feeling this Dartayous is the Shadow. He’s been told to watch over Moira during the attack

MacNeil and Effie are together (yuck) and MacNeils plan is to send Gregor back to Conall, have him gain back his trust, and then betray them when MacNeil comes to the MacInnes castle again. Gregor goes back and says that he was pretending to be involved to ensure Ailsa’s safety, Conall cannot tell if he’s lying. His power doesn’t work anymore

They all finally notice Ailsa is gone. Conall admits to Glenna he wants her to be his wife but she refuses because she knows she won’t stop being a druid and he won’t stop hating Druids

Glenna & Conall finally do it but it genuinely seems like it meant nothing. Moira tells her the rest of the prophecy, the part most forget about. Conall is a part of it, essentially the key to it. He needs to stop hating Druids in order for the world to be okay. That night, Glenna asks what he’s afraid of he gets angry & says that just because they did IT,doesn’t mean he’ll tell her his secret,& then he leaves

Glenna finally finds out Moira is her sister and at first, she’s so mad she sends the room on fire before Conall comes in and takes her away. She later makes up with Moira. Angus knows Conall is in love with Glenna and says that he really should reconsider his feelings towards the Druids. Effie and Gregor kidnapped Ailsa but thankfully Gregor is keeping her safe.

Chap 15
Glennas sisters, who were thought to be dead, are alive. Moira is the eldest of them. Conall finally realizes the Effie is on the attempted murders of Glenna and Ailsa, but she flees before he can question her again. Gregor teams up with her for whatever stupid reason. They go off the MacNeils castle. They’re trying to find the man who choked Glenna, but their searching brings them no closer

Conall basically half acts on his desires towards Glenna and when she falls asleep, he leaves to his room only to find Effie there with the intention of “helping” him. He refuses kicks her out. Glenna is suspicious that Effie is the one who tried to shoot Ailsa (which she is) but Conall doesn’t believe her. Gregor slept with Effie. Glenna is almost choked to death by the Shadow, but Moira saves her

Conall ventures out into this Druid festival as well. there, both Glenna and Conall are “chosen” by a Fae. Glenna’s Fae leads her to Conall, who is with this lady Fae, but the second he sees her, he steps away from the Fae. She runs to her chamber and he follows. He says he won’t lock her away if she promises to stop venturing to Moira, but she can’t promise that. They’re probably gonna do it tho ngl

Glenna starts getting freaked out by being alone in the cave, feeling bugs and spiders crawling over her. She ran through the cave, only to meet up with Moira who said it leads to the Druid grove. Conall and Gregor come and “save” her from the spiders. Later, she sneaks off the practice with Moira and then sees a festival and the Fae, which Moira warned her not to sneak out to see

MacNeil attacks the castle & Conall is set on making Glenna come with him so MacNeil can see her & bring him Iona. But after Ailsa is almost killed with an arrow (Glenna had a vision of it and saved her), Gregor had taken them to a cave. She has a vision of Conall getting ambushed while walking to fight MacNeil, and Gregor runs to save him. MacNeil leaves after his second attempt to kill Conall, which Moira prevents

Chap 10
Conall is very needy and so when the Shadow sends a maid to his room, he can’t help but touch her back. But it’s when they kiss that he realizes he doesn’t need just touch, but Glenna. A gasp catches his attention and there is Glenna standing there, having witnessed the whole thing, she ran off. Conall ran after her, but didn’t bother explaining what had happened

She ends up meeting with Moira in the morning, and learn about her dead parents and etc. Conall knew she was there and had went to the loch to swim. Glenna did too and bit later and after she almost drowned, they finally kiss and almost do it before Conall fights it. He doesn’t want to get close to Glenna, he needs to get Iona back. The Shadow is watching him and is angry that Conall is developing feelings for her

Glenna tells Conall everything she knows about Iona and Conall knows he shouldn’t stay around her. He doesn’t wanna give into his desires. Gregor admits that his plan was to take over Conall’s castle but that he isn’t planning on it anymore. Moira reaches Glenna with her wind powers, trying to coax her into coming. She tells Glenna of the powers she has

Glenna runs from the castle in fear, running into Moira. Conall finds her before Moira can do anything and the two go to the loch. Conall goes into the water and Glenna ends up going in too. They get close and it scares her. She almost lets herself drown because death is worse than her fear of seeing Conall’d gaze go from soft to hatred when he finds out what she knows and did
