Status Updates From Early Poems

I am finding this collection a real mix of interesting and unusual images that I want to read again and study along side poems that seem so obscure to me that I feel totally lost.

El Hombre: It's a strange courage / you give me ancient star: / Shine alone in the sunrise / toward which you lend no part!

From Tract: I will teach you my townspeople/ how to perform a funeral--/ ...I begin with a design for a hearse./... Let it be weathered--like a farm wagon--/ ... Let there be no glass--/ and no upholstery phew!/ and no little brass rollers/ and small easy wheels on the bottom--/ my townspeople what are you thinking of?/ A rough plain hearse then/... Walk behind--as they do in France....
