Enter the French physician. I await what happens next with eagerness... this book certainly is entertaining if nothing else.

Oh, my mistake. Lady Helena was actually only widowed once... I think.

But the first guy she fell in love with (who did die) was her cousin.

The female lead has just been widowed... for the second time.

I'm curious to see how the author handles this, considering the fact that I know there's a slow-burn romance about to crop up. (Don't get me wrong... I am so, so there for that. But at the same time... two husbands dead already?)

Hmmmm this book was recommended to me it’s kinda a mix between Bridgerton and Sherlock Holmes definitely a nice light easy read before bed

Started this book cause it was told to be a mix of Bridgeton and Sherlock kinda like it even though it ain’t my normal cup of tea
