He does this annoying thing where whenever certain terms, such as “pallium”, “Monothelitism”, “Arianism”, etc. come up he gives a definition in parentheses. We’re in the 8th century and pope #89. The constant rehashing of these phrases is not needed.

So far, not too bad. There’s some “well, akshully” on certain details about the early popes, but he clearly articulates the historical moments these guys existed in, which is cool and fun.
