Status Updates From Gears of War Omnibus, Vol. 1

This reading session was two stand alone comics in the collection. Examining the journey of two different men and the cost of war. Even being a downer, there’s power in it. These were brutal in execution. Loving the art work with the harsh lines and dark atmosphere, borderlines horror.

Finish The Hollow run. What a great side story and introduction to Jace. I’m loving the art so much.

Halfway through the first arc, HOLLOW. Jace is such a kick ass character. He sounded familiar, doesn’t get introduced til Gears of War 3, so it’s awesome to have backstory for him with the main cast in these comics. The world building and lore just great. How side media should work, I don’t like it when characters or storylines are stuck in one medium. I love that they coincide and compliment each other.

Baird is really an asshole some times

It’s very interesting to see the difference between the games and the comics.
