Simply Fantastic. I stumbled onto this volume in an old bookshelf and didn’t expect it to capture my attention so completely. Catton’s prose is absolutely poetic - more like folklore or epic poetry than traditional non-fiction. The words just seem to flow off the page and into your imagination in such a way that makes it difficult to put down. Highly recommend.
