i’m honestly so disappointed… the characters i loved in book one feel completely unrecognizable here. the first book was all about doing whatever it takes to protect your family, but this one? it’s like “love life first, family second.”

man, i’ll take a break… before this turns into a hate read there are so many things that bugged me out, and i just can’t stand our mary sue-overly-perfect-self-absorbed-sixteen-year-old-protagonist who acts as if she’s wise and has lived a long life when she knows no shit. daughter of the forest should’ve been a standalone.
