This is not going well at all... it feels like Percy Jackson for girls. And the cliche YA tropes are out of control so far. I’ll read to 25-30% and then decide on a DNF just in case it improves drastically. But I’m not holding my breathe.

If I'm ever kidnapped I hope someone like Helene Crawford never tries to find me - because I'd have to give up hope. There's been a few times that I wonder why I'm continuing. And then you take an average teenager and have to make her "perfect" for the sake of her fitting in. BS.
