Status Updates From French Kissing: Season Four

ohhhhhhh my god, i cannot believe i ever thought margot was the most annoying in this series, i was wrong, it's steph. MIND YOUR BUSINESS BABE, YOU ARE DRIVING ME NUTS. god if i knew her in real life i would lose my MIND.

ughhh... idk what it is, but i'm not rlly feeling aurore/solange either. lol, nearly done with book 4/5... i might not like this series very much.

i'm just... if i was invited to a dinner (party? sort of?) by a bunch of ppl i barely knew, and they all just started explicitly talking abt their sex lives like this (almost purposfully, re: aurore and steph, to antagonize and make me a little uncomfortable) I WOULD ALSO BE UNCOMFORTABLE. that's... such a weird kind of a dick move and i rlly hate it.

okay actually, it's gotten worse. now their all talking abt orgasams. look... i AM a little prudish, so i'm so uncomfortable rn. whhhhyyy this is so cringy to me. aurore pls shut the fuck up.

this entire scene of all of them discussing sexism and homophobia in the workplace is… just reminding me how much this kind of stuff makes me cringe in fiction. I very much agree with it all, but so often stuff like this (to me) comes across in such a way that just makes me groan. It always makes me feel guilty but it always happens.

Yeah, I rlly don’t think I like Steph like much at all. This petty nonsense with Solange is irritating. Assume she’s homophobic bc she doesn’t like you (an abrasive person who doesn’t rlly seem to be taking her position seriously, imo) is a frustrating leap to make just bc she might be a little prudish.

“You know the worst homophobes are usually closet cases” I cAnnOt overstate my hatred for this trope and this line. Stop fucking throwing it out there ffs.

“Still hadn’t gotten over being scolded like a child” BITCH YOU WERE ACTING LIKE A CHILD! i think my annoyance with the other drama in earlier books made me put it to the background, but my god, I ALSO don’t like Steph very much jfc.

Iiiii am losing interest in this series. I find the dynamics of the Dominique/Steph stuff interesting (tho steph is annoying the ever loving shit out of me) but I just don’t rlly care abt these new ppl that much? Mostly Cami/Zoya, they feel so removed from the rest of everything? Like the Juliette/Nadia and Claire/Margot drama gets on my nerves, but dropping them was an odd choice. (Series full of them, imo).

Omg, Steph is such a little bitch abt Solange. Like, isn’t she in her mid thirties? Grow up and stop acting like a kid arguing with someone holy hell.

Idk abt these new ppl yet… also, I love Abby Craden, and she’s a fabulous narrator, but, accents are not her strong suit (which is totally fine, they are… super hard) but doubt this Australian one is quite hitting it.

FINALLY, a Dominque pov!!! Only took four fucking books. But umm.. I just read the description for this and there are a ton of names I don’t know. Hmm. Dunno how I feel abt that.
