It hits you right between the eyes. I don't cry, but Papa Henry made me cry. Jackson has done a tremendous job, and I'm just halfway through. There is a nationally touted book with a similar theme. the Earth Bleeds Red beats it hands down.

What a delightful book! I almost decided to read once book at a time, and I'm glad I chose to read two. This one doesn't in the least bog me down as the other one does. I hope Jackson writes another soon. The insights into familial ties and perceptions is incredible. More later.

I'm not generally one who reads thrillers, however The Earth Bleeds Red captivated me like no other. I even found myself grabbing for a box of Kleenex due to its emotional consistency.

Jackson Baer constructed his story in such a way that I felt as though I suffered through every emotion his characters went through. The love of a family, the loss of a child, and so much more.
