A knight returns to France upon news of his sister’s illness. She dies before he arrives, leaving her two children in his care. Yet another child comes into his life when the boy’s parents are murdered. On the one hand, the knight takes up farming the estate his sister left behind, joined by three of his knights. On the other, he is determined to pursue the murderers who are still at large, dressed as Templars.

His thoughts were pure. He was an instrument of good, and he recognized in his foe not only fear, but anger.
