Gonna be honest, I read a few pages of ironclads and dont want to read it, nor can I foresee myself wanting to read it anytime soon. I don't dislike it I just wanted to re-read the other storys, that's all. I'm still going to mark this as a complete re-read, because I want to. For the sake of integrity I've added one more book to my reading challenge. Don't fret H.G. Wells, I still love you.

6/10... 3 STARS WHATEVER, LAME SITE!
I nearly dropped the book on my face because I nearly fell asleep. I was not tired, I started feeling sleepy around page 3 when it was getting more interesting. Felt awake afterwards, though.
Reading is more draining than I thought it would be for me.
It had me pretty hooked in the middle section and some parts near the end. Took me an hour to read 15 tiny pages, though ;-;

"The Magic Shop" was great fun. I have no major complaints about it. Probably my favourite out of the three stories here.
I am pleasantly surprised at how varied these three stories managed to be. They're not anything crazy, but they're not trying to be, and I think the engagement is strong enough to warrant a read. Especially since you can get through this in over an hour.

I think I like "The Land Ironclads" more than the last story. The characters ain't worth shit. Both sides having justified views on war while being cognizant of their fallacies is interesting. I would've liked it if the characters were explored more through their quirks, like the war correspondent with his chocolate and the lieutenant being young. These factors are surface-level.

Finished "The Sea Raiders." It was decent! I enjoyed Mr. Fison first discovering the Haploteuthis; he uses it as a bit of an excuse to relive his sensations of boyhood, redolent of his happiest days. The second half was a bunch of guys falling over and flailing their hands and weapons around, so that was less interesting. I would recommend it to my brother, as it's still a fun one.

Half deep in the second short story, The Land Ironclads. I full thought of the name, It would be fantasy gnomes like dwarfs mining mana crystals. ITS ABOUT WAR!!! crazyyy right. bit hard to.understand while cooked, but per usual. Incredible writing by old buddy wells
