I am to the part where I want to see a map of the canals. So interesting.

I like feeling I've learned something-and in this book I truly have-I knew nothing about boats and boating. I thought it wasn't really my thing, me being seasick the only time I went on what was supposed to be an idyllic day's cruising on holiday in Barbados! But this has opened up a whole new world to me, I want to read more memoirs about life on the water, a totally different read for me.

Lovely warm, cosy, pleasant read with much to interest and make me smile. I love the occasional Dutch words sprinkled in.
