I don't know if it's me or is the writing really so poor? There are no commas where there should be, the dialogue sounds unnatural to my ears and the characters are inconsistent from the start (MMC is supposedly a cunning individual who knows how people tick, but gets shocked multiple times a page, at most normal of thing, like his brother loving him).

I don't think I can continue.
