I honestly think I've read this. Huh. The hair color as rank doesn't ring a bell, but the intrigue/scheming on the spaceship and planetary survival situation seems so damn familiar. Eh, not the first I've re-read this year if so. (I only worry that it's a plagiarism thing since at least two authors I used to appreciate got caught at it. I'd hate to discover this was the original for someone else's rip-off.)

Villam had more chemistry with Kandriell. Villam and Luke in love? Really? Must have missed that along with the other plot line.

Losing interest in the surviving bit. Time for some excitement.

first person introspection in the middle of a paragraph is distracting and easily confused with dialogue. keeps pulling me out of the story.

political/ military mascinations. A crash landing on an unknown planet. 2 survivors who are enemies (for now). perfect storm for me. Can't read fast enough!

I hope this gets better...

I don't care about anyone else but Villam and Luke. Yet here we are, back with Hije. Sigh.

A lot of these proverbs make absolutely no sense to me.

Feck..how do others keep Kardiell, Fulgur, Urma, Dorges, Villam Elding, Hije, Shpate and Luke Sicinik apart?
