Read a good portion of this last night and on the bus to Lisbon this morning.
Obviously the book is allegorical, but the opener reads like a tense thriller on par with how I felt while reading The Stand ages ago.
I don’t love how all dialogue is written as one unbroken sentence. It was fine when there were only 3 characters, but now there are 10, and none of them have names, so it can be annoying to follow.
