I am also reading this book for lightness as I also read another book on that is harder on my soul. Persecuted breeds survived and are living 20 years later. One book real history, this one fiction but had the same wrong doing by people against people.

I wanted something short to listen to and this fit the bill for me. Overall decent. Naomi had some moments where I wanted to shake her, but I didn’t hate her. Asher did a lot of grunting. And he seemed to be very typical of the alpha male vampire hero.
