Short thoughts on BOOGIEPOP RETURNS: VS IMAGINATOR PART 2: The second part is better as some characters from the first novel return. Not better by much, but yeah. Some review said that these novels are kinda pretentious and yeah I can see that. A lot of the villains/mysterious characters say some faux deep shit and it gets annoying after a while. Also hate the happy end here. The anime's ending was soul-crushing. 3/5

Short thoughts on BOOGIEPOP RETURNS: VS IMAGINATOR PART 1: Wasn't really a fan of this one. What made the first Boogiepop and Others so great was its characters and their stories. This one doesn't really have that, or not as many. The *new* characters here aren't much likeable aswell. Also, there's an event in the book that gets told like 3 times, just from different perspectives, which I think is kinda lame. 2,5/5

Short thoughts on the first novel of this omnibus and series BOOGIEPOP AND OTHERS: The anime takes place right after this novel, so I got a lot of background information that I was looking for, my expectations have been met. What surprised me is how little this novel was about Boogiepop, it was really more about the OTHERS. Great cast of characters that you won't find in the anime. Last two chapters were great. 4/5
