Awesome read! Already almost finished with book 2!!! Can't put them down!!!!

Great read so far!

a) okay, the author REALLY makes up for the annoying thesaurus unicorn with her pretty interesting take on trolls
b) I love to see an author's writing improve - even though the editor did let a few quite annoying things slip ('of upmost importance', 'she saw her a ways off')

I mean, I talk quite a good game about the negative aspects of this book, but I did buy volume 2, so I have to say there is something that's keeping me entertained. Haven't found out what yet, but I hope I'll see it soon. Stay tuned!

I already talked about unrealistic reactions of the characters when I was reading book 1 - but one thing that keeps coming up and that keeps annoying me is that whenever the MC here tears up her 'tears are forming on her lashes'. Idk about you guys, but when I'm crying that's not the first thing that happens.... (also, tears usually come out of your tear ducts, not your eyelashes)
