Read 11 of the 14 stories so far. All from the 40s and early 50s and all entertaining as Heinlein promised (although a few are a bit hokey due to the 'science' involved, but heh).

"I'm Scared" - a time displacement story, one (fictional) "case study" gave rise to an urban legend in the 1970s about a man from the Civil War era showing up in Times Square.
"The Silly Season" - when the media hypes everything, one day when truly important news needs to get out the public won't pay any more attention. Um...can you say fake news?

Yikes! I know these stories were written in the 1940s. But dang that story was amazingly racist. Dang, dang, dang, racist to make my head explode. Talk about a story reflecting the culture of the time, yikes!

Heinlein wrote an introduction about how the stories here are not just Science Fiction. These stories were good literature! First story should have been an episode of the Twilight Zone. Once it might have been scary but now it is a well written story.
