this book pretty much opens with a quote from homicide detective cliff shepard and i couldn’t tell it was a quote until his name was mentioned at the end of the two and a bit pages, and it left me confused. i was actually wondering if the author was involved in the investigation, but nope.

he also keeps saying “more on that later in the book” that irritates me, ugh idk how i feel about this read ngl
