Status Updates From His Boy

Charlie is a little bit over the top for me, but this is supposed to be humor and he must be like that. Also, the plot is really interesting and you can't stop reading!!!

// This book was a train-wreck ... you can’t help but stop to gawk, but you should probably just keep moving!!

// I can't help but roll my eyes in regard to the melodrama with his dad!!!

// I'm not even upset this happened because the author didn't bother with character or relationship development!! He was so busy with the train wreck that is Charlie's snarky life and bullshit, that it's impossible to imagine his connection with Nathan outside of Nathan doing everything for him and being Charlie's saviour!! I felt NO chemistry and saw no reason for Nathan to want Charlie!! So why not James!!!

Bleeding hearts tend to think forgiveness is the answer to everything, and it’s fucking not, it simply absolves the sinner of the sins they’ve committed!! Charlie needs to forgive himself, that is it, and he shouldn’t forgive his parents for what they’ve done, or Richard for that matter!!

// All entertainment aside I have to wonder, exactly what about Charlie was this author hoping to come across as endearing in any way shape or form!?! Charlie is a user, he’s insecure and immature, he leeches and mooches off of people, he’s self-centred and spoiled, and he bites the hand that feeds him (which in this case is Nathan), who has been the absolute sweetest guy ever!! And driving intoxicated ... WTF!!!

// Wait a minute he’s driving drunk??!!? That right there can destroy a book for me because I am hating Charlie a lot right now for getting behind the wheel intoxicated!!

~ Hey, as a gay man, I’m sure you don’t want to be marginalized and stereotyped, so don’t fucking do it to women! What the hell is up with that schoolgirl bullshit, the schoolboy could be immature too! Considering the fact that you’re writing about an immature boy, I’d be very careful about the generalizations & stigmas you throw around!

// Another thing that I dislike is the fact that some authors – like this one – think that epilogues are actual endings when in fact, an epilogue is like a P.S. to the ending; it’s that extra little bit of wonderfulness that we get in addition to a wonderful glorious solid ending, and it should never come instead of a proper HEA!! It’s not an ending, it’s an addendum to the ending!! Learn that, author!!

// I have a feeling that this author is going to be one of those authors that totally shits on a glorious HEA! Aches! I also have a feeling that this author probably doesn’t know how to write a proper wonderful glorious amazing solid ending, and I have a feeling like the ending here will be a rushed and abrupt one!! Skimming a little bit I can just tell!!

// It boggles my mind how you can take somebody’s bed from them and be OK with that! Charlie needs to give Nathan his bed back! Seriously, like pronto!!

// I know a lot of people say that they find Charlie irritating and yes he is irritating but I’m just so amused by him, he’s a train wreck and it’s hilarious just watching him function!! I feel bad for the guy! But also I know that there is a sweet sweet guy under all of that bluster and he just needs to give himself a chance! In the meantime I’m just having an entertaining time watching the train wreck!!
