I made a deal with the devil (my dad).

My dad is obsessed with Peaky Blinders and I told him that Kaz Brekker would give Thomas Shelby a run for his money (and more), so I’m reading this and he’s reading Six of Crows.

So far exodus is genuinely one of the most poorly-written books I’ve encountered. A seventh grader could do better. Forget the propaganda part, it’s an objectively bad book.

I'm having to put this on the "unfinished for now" shelf due to other reading demands. Also, I'll add, it's like multi-generational books in that each new character gets his own novella (or longish short story), and such books aren't my cup of tea. Thanks to my library for furnishing me with a copy!
