Loved the first book and halfway through the second book. While I thought the first book had great pacing, decent characters and a fabulous plot, the second lags a little with character development (especially the female characters). The women are described and act a little too stereotypical in their set “roles.” Hope to amend this initial assessment as I finish the second of the trilogy.
