Oh this is heartbreaking actually. I saw this coming, but not like this.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Drew but I give him points for being honest about how broken the system is, and a lot of it is due to insurance companies not wanting to cover adequate care. There’s a conversation he recounts where he says the patient will relapse and lose their job, and the insurance people tell him, basically, “Good. Then they won’t be our problem (expense) anymore.”

It’s very weird how he keeps mentioning he’s attracted to his patient. No one is making you admit that in your book! Those are private thoughts!

I don’t really like Dr. Drew at all but this book is pretty good.
