Think I’m going to drop this. Love David Foster Wallace his essays, but these short stories are really hard to get through. There’s too much distance from emotion here, which is being replaced with smuggy irony, which works in essays but not really in stories. :(

The novella at the end is very meh to me so far. The narration interruptions to tell us that nothing is going on is incredibly annoying. Like both me and DFW are annoyed at this piece for existing.
