Status Updates From Panic Years

I got this book from a thrift store for a dollar and it’s really bad. Planning on finishing it since it’s a quick read but this will almost definitely be getting a 1 star

So far I'm not sure if I like it or hate it. There is no plot yet. I'm reading with bated breath waiting for something to happen. His sentences are short, manic, and childlike. I *think* it's intentional, because the characters are manic and childlike. He does come up with some diamond metaphors. I was never a fan of terse writing style (I kind of can't stand Hemingway) so I am trying to set that bias aside for now.

Panic Years was impossible to put down. I was instantly connected with the characters and their journey and only wish there were a hundred more pages. It is hard for fiction to really keep my attention these days and the fact that I picked up and finished Panic Years in the same day (dropping all my other responsibilities) says a lot about the novel. Read this book.

Holy shit, this is so much better than I expected, and I expected good things! I’ll probably finish it tomorrow.
