Status Updates From Pax (Pax, #1)

Peter in his last chapter lost time by stopping in a town to take cover, as he left he managed to break a bone while fleeing a car. As for Pax, he survived the night & quickly returned to the road but he was very thirst. He was warned about an older fox but that fox turned out to be friendly. It warned Pax of war and informed him about what’s going on. Pax and his new friend are going to start traveling together.

I cried a little

So far we’ve been introduced to Pax the fox and Peter his human boy. We start with Pax being abandoned and Peter has been left at his grandfather. We learn a bit about how Pax became Peter’s pet, about Peter’s father and the war, and Peter has set out to find Pax. Over all, it’s a good start and the characters are enjoyable.
