Off the bat I like that it shows resistance to traditional patriarchal norms in a digestible way. If I were in grade 2 I would say that it was silly they weren’t allowed to wear pants because we wear pants now. I think by showing that things were once different but things change and we have seen them actively change by the fact all these girls wear pants.
