This is an awesome and complicated history, told as if conversing with a child (but a very intelligent, precocious child!). It's also a hoot, laced with wry comments and Dickens' own personal opinions!

I'm not reading this book very quickly but, in some ways, am finding it charmingly colored by Dicken's personal comments and opinions of his time period.

This is an entertaining history from the great Charles Dickens. I found the early history the most useful and readable.
Later chapters, king by king, read a bit slower and of course someone needs to keep
Writing from where he left off.
I started reading from a beautiful old copy on Penny’s (Steve’s english mum) but there is a free digital copy to borrow inline from ‘Project Gutenberg’
