Status Updates From Sklars and Stripes

This is an audible that had a few funny moments, and interesting insights into the crowds in various counties, but I think it would have been better as a television series. The crowd noise and transition music is also very distracting.

After listening for a time, a definite pattern has emerged. It starts with the brothers talking about how hard it will be in the new city. From there, they cut in recordings from their stand-up shows, interviews with locals (and occasionally other comedians and artists), and thoughts from their visits to local attractions. Lastly, they talk about how they succeeded in the chapter's city. It feels like a podcast.

Not a laugh riot, but still engaging enough. My favorite part so far has been seeing how jokes the brothers come up with evolve over a given weekend. My least favorite part is that the interstitial bits reuse the same music. It really makes each weekend feel more like a podcast than a chapter in a finished book.

Interesting combination of travel, joke development, and actual stand up that results from those two things.
