Status Updates From Los desposeídos

“You cannot buy the revolution. You cannot make the revolution. You can only be the revolution. It is in your spirit or it is nowhere.” This blurb from the book made me think about the idea of commodity activism and how prevalent that is in a capitalist society. The idea that buying things to “support the revolution” is as impactful as actually supporting the revolution.

È quando non ti aspetti che un capitolo sia quello che è che le cose si fanno interessanti. Dal titolo del secondo capitolo, “Anarres”, avevo immaginato che avrei letto un’alternanza di POV tra Shevek e qualche altro personaggio che era rimasto sulla Luna e, invece, pare che mi troverò davanti a un continuo salto temporale tra presente e passato. Mi piace!
